India’s 1st Vehicle Recycling Festival was held on 10th February 2024 near Gurgaon in Haryana

The AKK Car Recycling Festival is the first event of its kind across India designed to educate children on the critical issues of environmental conservation and air pollution.

Through interactive and engaging activities, the festival aims to educate students the importance of Vehicle recycling and how it can contribute to environmental issues.

By participating in workshops and hands-on experiences, students from RPS Public School, Dharuhera, Bhiwadi learned the value of sustainable practices while having a lot of fun and learning how they can contribute to a cleaner and healthier planet by reducing air pollution and promoting recycling activities.

Tyre bowling, a car parts guessing quiz, a mini dismantling experience, upcycling scrap, and even graffiti on scrap cars turned waste into wonder and taught the importance of sustainability through creativity and participation.

The organizer of the event, Abhishek K Kaiho Recyclers Pvt. Ltd.(AKK) is the joint venture between Kaiho Industry, which has been in the car recycling business in Japan for over 5 decades, and the Abhishek Group, the first company in India to introduce Seat Belts to Indian OEM’s in 1984 and now into the manufacturing various more components.

AKK is recognized as the State’s first Government approved Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) in Haryana. AKK does not just process end-of-life vehicles but helps transform each scrapped vehicle into a step towards a greener tomorrow.

If car owners sell their scrap cars to the company, AKK can issue a Certificate of Deposit (CoD) to have benefits of up to 25% of Motor Vehicle Tax when they purchase a new car or can sell the certificates online on the government-authorized trading platform. Additionally, the company can issue a Certificate of Vehicle Scrapping (CVS) to remove their RC number to avoid all risk which may happen if sold to un-authorized scrappers or if the vehicle is used in any unlawful activity by the next owner.

Anirudh kedia (Director) & Yuki Miyagawa (Japanese Director) also informed that they are planning to open 10-12 plants in different states all over India in the next 5-6 years.
